This position is ideal for an individual with a background in purchase and sales ledger and is looking to enhance their expertise in accounts and finance.

Accounts Assistant - About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all revenue transactions are recorded correctly, prepare daily and monthly sales reports for management and assist the Finance team in providing sickness and holiday cover. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Complete daily banking, reconciling credit cards to the credit card automated system, and correcting errors.
  • Verification of revenue from all departments, rectifying discrepancies.
  • Assisting the finance team with an automated purchasing system and reconciling statements.
  • Daily postings of receipts and deposits from bank statements
  • Work with the Finance team to fulfil month-end assignments as requested
  • Assist the Senior Accounts Assistant with all daily control and reconciliation tasks.

The Accounts Assistant will have:

  • Purchase and Sales ledger experience.
  • Excellent IT and excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A self-motivated, collaborative, proactive approach
  • Ability to use own initiative and work on your own as well as within a team
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation of workload ensuring deadlines are met
