Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, is currently seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join their team in Hook, Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission products within required dates and to the highest quality standards
  • Carry out initial testing alongside commissioning on designated products
  • Ensure all build procedures are followed, maintaining high standards of work
  • System assembly and QA testing for customer orders ready for shipment
  • Recording and updating documentation associated with QA and customer orders
  • Evaluate and conduct repairs on returned equipment and systems
  • Perform in-house calibrations and sanity checks
  • Liaise with Geotechnical Systems Engineers to develop testing capabilities for products
  • Prepare, maintain and implement internal and external technical procedures
  • Debug and solve issues with products both onsite and in the field
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety requirements
Job Requirements:
  • Experience within an engineering environment, preferably in Materials, Electronics, or Mechanical fields
  • Basic understanding and confidence in working with electronic/electrical components and systems
  • Logical thinking and fault-finding skills for software, mechanical and electrical issues
  • Familiarity with sensors, transducers, and electro-mechanical systems is advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, schematics, plans, and specifications
  • Quick learner of in-house developed software packages
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Capability to independently manage time and prioritise work whilst maintaining deadlines
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to collaborate with team members
  • Eager to learn new ideas and concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office for report writing and scientific data interpretation
  • High standard of housekeeping, cleanliness, and tidiness
