Owen Daniels have partnered with STI-Limited a specialist Contract Electronics Manufacturer, who due to growth are looking for a new Shipping and Export Controller on a permanent basis at their Hook site. The ideal candidate will have experience of UK, EU & US Export requirements along with a full understanding of ITAR Compliance regulations. Shipping and Export ControllerPermanentSalary - Dependant on experienceFlexible workingHookShipping and Export ControllerJob DescriptionThe Shipping and Export Controller will oversee the company’s shipping operations and manage all facets of the import/export business. Lead initiatives to enhance international export processes and implement best practices. Provide expert guidance on export compliance and licensing regulations.The Role
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team to manage and review all domestic and international shipping requirements originating from the UK
  • Expand and apply expertise in ITAR, EAR, and Federal regulations to strengthen regulatory knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with the evolving regulatory landscape by maintaining and securing necessary licenses to meet STI’s business demands.
  • Uphold compliance with Customs regulations and Export Control Joint Unit standards to align with organisational and legal expectations.
Your Qualifications and Strengths
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK Export Control requirements.
  • Developing expertise in EU and US Export Laws, with a focus on ITAR compliance and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Familiarity with dual-use product regulations, especially under EU and US frameworks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Holding or pursuing an Export/Logistics Professional Qualification is an added advantage.
