Payroll Specialist (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Horley (2/3 days a week in the office)
Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 per annum.

Are you an experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong background in payroll processing and expertise in payroll systems? We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading client based in Horley, seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist for a 6-month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll, including running, reconciling, statutory reporting, and payments.
  • Use of payroll software, ideally Oracle Payroll, and extensive experience with payroll and expenses systems
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and statutory regulations.
  • Reconcile and upload payments to pension providers.
  • Work across multiple systems, including advanced use of Excel and Office 365 suite.
  • Manage tight weekly and monthly deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Prior experience with Oracle Payroll software (advantageous)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Forward-thinking and adaptable to changing operational requirements.
  • Experience in working with pension payments and reconciliation.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and manage multiple tasks with precision.
