About the Role:
We are currently looking for a skilled Fibre and Copper Engineer to join our team based at Gatwick Airport. This is a varied role involving installation, servicing, and splicing of fibre and copper cabling systems. The position offers a dynamic working environment with a mix of day and night shifts, providing essential services across the airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and maintain fibre and copper cabling systems.
  • Perform splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections, fault finding, and repairs to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Work on a variety of projects including upgrades and new installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and provide reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fibre and copper installations, splicing, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and cabling standards.
  • Experience with fibre optic testing and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to work a mix of day and night shifts, including weekends.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices in a technical environment, especially around airports.
