Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer/Project Manager
Location: Gatwick, UK
Contract: 12 months (Outside IR35)
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Project Engineer/Project Manager to join a dynamic team within a leading process company based in Gatwick. This exciting contract opportunity offers a chance to work on high-profile projects and make a tangible impact in the mechanical and piping engineering fields.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion.

Coordinate all aspects of mechanical design, installation, and commissioning for process systems.

Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget, adhering to quality and safety standards.

Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external contractors to ensure project objectives are met.

Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical and piping activities.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site teams.

Prepare detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and project documentation.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Strong mechanical engineering background with extensive experience in mechanical/piping systems.

Proven experience in project management and delivering mechanical projects within a process industry environment.

Previous involvement in managing large-scale mechanical and piping projects.

Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the mechanical and process engineering sectors.

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience working in a contract-based role is highly desirable.
