Head of Procurement Role Overview:The Head of Procurement will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that support our business goals, ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply chain. You will lead the procurement team, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance, reduce costs, and enhance supplier quality.Key Head of Procurement Responsibilities:* Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.* Lead and manage the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture.* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.* Introduce and improve the efficiency of the Purchase to Pay (P2P) process.* Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to implement sustainable and innovative strategies, and to evolve the strategy as technology, markets, and business needs change.* Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance.* Drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure efficient procurement processes.* Oversee risk management and compliance within the supply chain.* Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs.* Report on procurement performance and contribute to strategic planning.Head of Procurement Qualifications and Experience:* Proven experience as Head of Procurement or in a similar senior procurement role within manufacturing or Construction.* Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.* In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices.* Excellent leadership and team management skills.* Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and cost reduction.* Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data to drive decisions.* CIPS qualification or equivalent is desirable.Benefits include excellent pension, bonus, Car or Car Allowance, life assurance insurance, 25 days holiday, and much more.
