We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Havering proudly rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
About the Role:
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support: Provide individualized support to children with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Collaborate: Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement tailored learning plans and adapt teaching strategies.
Encourage: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging student participation and engagement.
Monitor: Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback and adjusting support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the delivery of personalized learning programs
Support children with various needs, including autism, dyslexia, and ADHD
Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions
Prepare and organize learning materials and resources
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support
Requirements:
Experience working with children with special educational needs
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable but not essential)
