Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing global company with offices in Horsham, West Sussex to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. Working Hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days from home. Reporting into the Financial Controller and working with the Senior Management and FP&A team you will be responsible for supporting with the smooth running of the companies finances, playing a lead role in the continual improving and standardising controls and processes across the group.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations. 
  • Support month-end tasks (such as preparing and entering journal entries, reporting, analysis)
  • Sales and use tax preparation and filing.
  • Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies and Corporate.
  • Assist with year-end close process and audit including preparing audit schedules, analysis, reconciliations, coordinating with accounting staff to complete deliverables to auditors and management.
  • Assist with monthly variance analysis.
  • Reconcile and maintain fixed assets.
  • Delivering process/system/control improvements.
  • Support the outsourced finance team with AR, AP, Banking, intercompany reconciliations, journal postings, processing credit cards/expenses
  • Delivering process/system/control improvements.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Cashflow reconciliation, analysis, and forecasting
  • variance analysis and KPI reporting
  • Other ad-hoc US & Group reporting and analysis as required

The successful candidate will be either Part Qualified ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and or hold at least 2 years working experience within a similar role. You will need to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Strong IT skills including Excel ( Pivot tables, V-Look ups, Sumifs) and experience of Accounting packages. You will need to be able to work in fast paced global environment and work well within a team and sole charge. This is an excellent opportunity offering an excellent salary and benefits package.
