Assistant Ecologist

A dynamic and expanding ecological consultancy is looking for an Assistant Ecologist to support a wide range of exciting projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career ecologist to gain hands-on experience in all aspects including fieldwork, ecological surveys, and habitat assessments while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with ecological surveys, including protected species and habitat assessments
- Support data collection, analysis, and report writing
- Help deliver mitigation and conservation strategies
- Work collaboratively with ecologists and other environmental specialists
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Some experience in field surveys and species identification (professional or voluntary)
- A good understanding of UK wildlife legislation and ecological best practices
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to develop new skills
