Property Accounts Assistant

Salary: £26k - £30k + great company benefits

Location: Horsham

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am - 17.30pm

Do you want to work for a professional and proactive and organisation that offers a vibrant and friendly working environment in their well-established property company based in Horsham? If so, I have a fantastic role based within their busy block management department for an enthusiastic and detail orientated Property Accounts Assistant/Administrator.

You will already have a proven background within finance, administration and ideally within property. You will be confident in liaising with clients over the phone and by email and pick up new processes and systems easily.

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with incoming queries via phone and email.
  • Raising and sending service charges and ground rent invoices- monthly and quarterly.
  • Liaising with clients over the phone, email, and correspondence.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Sales & purchase ledger.
  • Work towards having responsibility for your own portfolio of clients.
  • Organising appointments, general administration and dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
  • Working with external accounts to assist on year-end accounts.
  • Assisting the property managers with budgets, debtors, and credit control.

The right candidate will have the following skills to apply:

  • Previous experience within accounts, ideally within property.
  • Ideally AAT level 2-3 qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills inclusive of Excel and have used accountancy software packages.
  • Proactive and professional with a "can do" attitude.
  • Proven background in bank reconciliation, invoicing, and dealing with supplier queries.
  • A good understanding of finance practices and procedures.
