The Role

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be a key part of the Systems Engineering team, contributing to the design, modeling, and implementation of electrical and power systems for fuel cell and electrolysis systems. From system modeling to grid connection, you'll be at the heart of the innovation that's making clean energy a reality.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design for fuel cell and electrolyser stack modules, including AC and DC distribution networks.
  • Develop high-quality electrical architecture drawings, schematics, and design documentation.
  • Perform power system analysis, modeling, and design for grid-connected systems.
  • Oversee the work of contractors, ensuring compliance with national and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC).
  • Provide technical expertise for project risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Troubleshoot, commission, and support the installation of electrical systems onsite.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver first-of-a-kind prototype solutions.


About You

You're a proactive and practical electrical engineer with both strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. You thrive in innovative, R&D-driven environments and have a track record of delivering solutions in complex projects.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in designing grid-connected power generation and demand projects, including MW-scale systems.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical system design, including cable sizing, protection devices, and grounding.
  • Knowledge of grid connection processes, policies, and standards across regions.
  • Proficiency in power system modeling tools (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, EPLAN).
  • Strong organisational, communication, and report-writing skills.
