Scope:

The client is a leading supplier of healthcare equipment and supplies, committed to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join their leadership team. The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the company’s financial health and profitability. This role involves strategic financial planning, analysis, project management, and reporting to guide the company's decisions and support its long-term growth objectives. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned finance professional with experience in managing teams, driving financial strategy, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate financial tracking, budgeting, and reporting for all company projects, including cost allocation, revenue recognition, and variance analysis to maintain profitability and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to the MD and executive team to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the financial planning and forecasting process, including budgeting, revenue projections, and cost management.
  • Drive initiatives to improve financial processes and systems, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and corporate governance standards including dealing with VAT and taxation.
  • Manage the preparation of financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
  • Preparing board packs with commentary, analysis and flash reporting regularly.

Treasury and Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the company maintains a healthy liquidity position.
  • Aspects of payroll and analysis when needed.

Acquisitions:

  • Provide financial analysis and due diligence for potential acquisitions and investment opportunities.
  • Assist in negotiations and integration processes for new acquisitions.

About you:

  • Qualified Accountant.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within finance.
  • Strong experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and project management.
  • Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate finance.
