The ideal candidate should have proven experience in a senior financial role within an SME, with a fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ICAEW certification.
Key responsibilities include overseeing monthly reconciliations, managing payroll for 35+ employees, and developing financial strategies with the Company Director.
The position offers a competitive salary of up to £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience, and is fully office-based requiring own transport.
Candidates should possess strong leadership abilities and a proactive approach to financial management, with a minimum of several years of relevant experience.

Our client, a leading equipment provider renowned for their commitment to excellence, is experiencing significant business growth and is seeking a Finance Director to join their dynamic team in Horsham.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in an SME environment and has a hands-on approach to financial management. This role is pivotal in shaping their financial strategy and operations.Please note this is a fully office-based role and own transport is required due to their location.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and perform monthly reconciliations, prepare and report on monthly management accounts and manage the production of statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
Handle quarterly VAT returns, monthly CIS reporting, and other HMRC returns
Administer monthly payroll for 35+ PAYE employees, ensuring accuracy
Collaborate with external finance providers on ad hoc projects and manage Companies House reporting
Utilise and develop the Accumatica CRM/ERP system to manage financial data, maintain, interpret and enhance reporting
Collaborate with the Company Director to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives
Supervise the Finance Manager and ensure smooth financial operations
Stay ahead of industry trends and implement innovative solutions to improve financial processes

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior financial role within an SME organisation
Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ICAEW
Strong hands-on experience in accounting and financial management
High proficiency in IT, particularly in CRM/ERP systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
Proactive problem solver with a passion for learning and implementing new solutions
Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing finance teams

The Package:

Full time, Office Based
Competitive Salary up to £80,000pa DOE
Monday - Friday, 8;30am-5.30pm
20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, with additional during Christmas
