Service Engineer & Technical Support- Audio Industry; Partridge Green, West Sussex

We are a small but growing family run business, looking for someone to take over the in-house Servicing and Technical Support within the company. This is a stand-alone position, so we need someone with maximum existing experience, looking to stay with us long-term.

Skills we are looking for:

  • HNC/HND electronics or similar.
  • Experience with audio equipment and an understanding of audio quality criteria.
  • Experience with audio test equipment; scope, audio test-set etc.
  • Familiarity with valve/tube audio and digital audio products.
  • Electronic product fault-finding skills.
  • Precise record keeping.
  • Computer literacy
  • An ability to work quickly and efficiently in order to meet order deadlines.
  • To possess sufficient overview to spot problematic trends in, for example, component quality, shortfalls or quality issues and to communicate such problems to management.
  • To have an overall knowledge and experience of electronics manufacturing, in such areas as product safety, so to be able to instinctively and immediately spot when something is right or not.
  • Ability to write schematics
  • To help create new test procedures.
