Buyer - Electronics/Electro-Mechanical Parts

Are you an experienced Buyer with a passion for sourcing and managing the procurement of electronic or electro-mechanical parts? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join a dynamic team within a leading industry organisation.

Salary: £33,000 per annum + 10% bonus

Location: West Sussex (Hybrid working available after 3 months)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the timely order placement, supply, and expedition of raw materials, assemblies, and support services.

Work closely with Engineering, Planning, Sales, and Manufacturing teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials.

Prepare and distribute weekly expedite reports and manage selected suppliers to control inventories and ensure on-time delivery.

Analyse ERP system exception messages, place purchase orders, and prepare necessary documentation for custom part orders.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including ISO 9001 Quality and ISO 14001 Environmental standards.

Requirements:

Strong IT skills, with a good working knowledge of the MS Office suite.

Experience in purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical parts is highly desirable.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
