A pioneer in advanced electro-optical and electro-mechanical solutions, catering to the defence and security industries are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to provide field support to their customers worldwide.
Key Accountabilities - Field Service Engineer
+ Offsite repairs to their products and systems
+ Installation of new products at customer sites
+ After sales support and servicing to customers
+ Generating post site visit reports with clear analysis of situation to include any recommendations and/or future actions in a clear and well-structured format
+ Strip-down / survey, repair, and test allocated customer repair returns
+ Testing and evaluating potential new equipment, sensors/cameras etc. with Sales and Engineering teams
+ Preparation of risk assessments and SSOW's for installation/commissioning activities
+ Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Customer services functional area.
Skills and knowledge required - Field Service Engineer
+ Experience of complex systems maintenance with electrical and mechanical assembly tools within the military for naval, army or air force
+ Electronics knowledge.
+ Competent mechanical and electro-mechanical skills and understanding.
+ A strong understanding and proficiency with electrical, mechanical, PC architecture, and software skills including problem diagnosis, software loading and updates
+ Comfortable working in exposed or adverse conditions at land and sea including working at heights and with large heavy equipment
+ Must be willing to travel worldwide at sometimes short notice, working extended hours as necessary (company compensation policy applies)
