Primary Teacher Needed for SEND School in Horsham

We are working with an SEMH provision in Horsham who are looking for the right individual to join their team, teaching students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, as well as Autism, ADHD and Trauma.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children with Social and Emotional Needs, and able to teach across KS1-KS2. A strong sense of behaviour management is important.

This provision is looking for an innovative, compassionate, and resilient educator with experience or a strong desire to work within SEMH. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a trauma-informed environment, supporting students with complex needs and behavioural challenges.

They are looking for someone with a primary teaching background and the ability to engage and inspire students with SEMH needs. They are looking for teachers who can teach across a range of subjects, including English and Maths, in addition to their own specialism.

Due to the location of the school, the ideal candidate will need to be a driver, as it is not accessible by Public Transport.

About the role:
  • Working with students who have challenging behaviours and/or trauma and attachment.

  • This is a setting where having a calm, nurturing and empathetic nature is key

  • Some experience within SEND / SEMH preferable not necessity

  • Passionate about supporting students and their social and emotional journey

  • Would accept ECT’s

What do I need?
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Flexibility, enthusiasm and motivation to deliver great lessons

  • Understanding of Primary Curriculum
