Michael Page is excited to be Partnering with an International Market Leader in their Industry Sector. The client is recruiting for a Financial Controller to join the team based from the Chiswick office, with hybrid working available

Description

The Financial Controller based from Chiswick will have overall responsibility for the financial control of the UK legal entity, ensuring the execution of all management and statutory financial accounting, taxation, foreign exchange management, cash flow management, capital expenditure and all related regulatory compliance:

  • Ownership and execution of all financial control for the legal entity under your responsibility (described above), for both management and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory standards and reporting requirements, including but
  • Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts
  • Annual consolidation packs
  • Statutory annual financial statements
  • Regulatory returns including Vat returns, corporation tax, payroll and related
  • Transfer pricing documentation
  • Corporate secretarial governance and compliance
  • Key business partner, engaging with the business and shared services to ensure that all operating procedures and policies are maintained, applied and respected
  • Actively manage, support, develop and encourage team work amongst direct reports so that all financial responsibilities are met in a timely manner
  • Support, review and ensure compliance in the accounting functions performed by the shared services in Prague and Kuala Lumpur
  • Ownership and monthly control of all balance sheet, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and intercompany balances ensuring processes and compliance reviews in place to avoid risk of financial exposure
  • Engage with and manage relationships with external auditors, banks and tax consultants
  • Ensure proper functioning of treasury relationships to ensure that cash holding and cash flow targets are achieved, including cash flow reporting and management
  • Manage the foreign exchange exposure, including both balance sheet and cash flow hedging ensuring that exposure and forex impacts are minimized, correctly interpreted, analysed and reported

Profile

  • You must be a Qualified Accountant
  • A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Prerequisite interpersonal skills to represent and lead the financial control function, develop and manage a team
  • Able to work under pressure, adapt to change, deliver results with conflicting demands and observe deadlines
  • Person with drive for improvement and excellence
  • Hands-on with day-to-day operations
  • Be independent and firm, at same time a team player
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
