About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a background in airport projects. The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and safety of electrical systems in critical airport environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong leadership and technical skills, particularly in managing electrical projects within high-traffic, highly regulated airport facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an Electrical Supervisor on airport-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and subcontractors responsible for electrical installations and maintenance across various airport facilities.
- Ensure all electrical installations and systems comply with airport regulations, including TSA, FAA, and local safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high-quality electrical work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee daily electrical team operations, ensuring efficient work practices, minimal disruption to airport operations, and timely project completion.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all electrical-related issues on site, collaborating with airport authorities, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Report to senior management, providing regular updates on project progress, electrical issues, and ongoing maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all relevant documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and compliance records, are up-to-date and in line with airport and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems with other airport infrastructure, such as baggage handling, lighting, and airfield systems.
Requirements:
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) Certification.
- ECS Gold Card
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor within airport facilities or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and safety standards for high-traffic environments.
- Experience in overseeing electrical systems in complex facilities, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth understanding of health and safety practices and regulations, particularly within the airport industry.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, airport authorities, and the project team.
- Experience working on airport projects or in high-security facilities is highly desirable.
