The Role:

  • As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Work closely with teachers to provide in-class support.
  • Lead small group interventions for students on the SEND register, including those in the SEN unit, which caters to students with ASD.
  • Deliver tailored support to help students achieve their potential.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Specialize in areas such as SLCN, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and EAL, as needed.
  • Maintain strong organizational and record-keeping skills to track student progress.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with young people in education or related sectors.
  • Hold a high-level degree and a passion for supporting young learners.
  • Demonstrate a calm, adaptable, and supportive demeanor.
  • Be highly organized and committed to helping students succeed.
  • Show willingness to learn and develop specialized knowledge in SEND support.

Requirements:

  • To be considered for this role, applicants must:
  • Be available full-time and able to commit for at least two terms.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and, if applicable, Overseas Police Clearances.
  • Provide professional reference checks.
  • Have a CV covering the last 10 years of employment history (where possible).
  • Hold the legal right to work in the UK.

Training: Full training will be provided during the initial consultation.
