Reed are recruiting for an experienced Cargo Reservations Agent for a repeat client in Heathrow. The successful candidate will be joining a busy cargo team, reporting into the Reservations Manager and will provide the best in-class customer experience to airline customers. This is a full-time, office-based position, working Monday - Friday, from 9am - 5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
Main duties:
- Bookings & Reservations: Handling air cargo reservations and bookings, ensuring all shipments are correctly and efficiently scheduled.
- Customer Care & Coordination: Coordinating with customers and the airline to ensure efficiency. Handling correspondence & enquiries received into the cargo reservations inbox.
- Tracking & Tracing: Making bookings in the airline operating systems. Providing tracking services for cargo shipments. Chasing up offloads as well as reporting back within agreed timescales.
- Documentation: Preparing flight documentation, maintaining accurate records and being responsible for providing reports to customers, both in the UK and abroad.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with air freight/cargo protocols and regulations at all times.
- Teamwork: Working closely with the Reservations Manager. Feeding back to the Sales team with any upselling opportunities or system issues.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years' Cargo Agent or Cargo Customer Service experience (essential)
- Experience working air cargo and within the airport (ideal)
- Strong customer service skills with a can-do and helpful attitude towards colleagues and customers
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
Benefits & Package:
- Salary circa £24,000 - £25,000 per annum
