OverviewWe are urgently seeking a motivated Day Shift Despatch Bakery Packer to join our busy bakery team with an immediate start. The role involves packing and preparing baked goods for delivery, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities- Packing: Accurately pack baked goods such as bread, cakes, and pastries into designated containers or crates for delivery.
- Labelling: Apply correct labels to packaged products, ensuring accuracy in product and customer information.
- Order Fulfilment: Process and prepare orders according to customer requirements, ensuring all items are packed and dispatched correctly.
- Quality Control: Inspect baked goods for quality and presentation before packing.
- Stock Monitoring: Keep track of packaging materials and report shortages to supervisors.
- Dispatch Support: Assist with loading delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain cleanliness of the packing and dispatch area, adhering to food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other team members to meet production deadlines and achieve dispatch targets.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role (bakery, food production, or warehouse) is advantageous but not required. Training will be provided.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in packing and labelling to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and handle boxes/crates.
- Time Management: Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to collaborate with colleagues while maintaining individual productivity.
- Compliance: Awareness of food hygiene and safety regulations (training provided).
