This is an excellent opportunity for a HSEQ Advisor with experience in aviation, plant, GSE, or construction to advance their career into a managerial role.

The HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) Manager will ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. They will foster a positive health and safety culture, implement policies, and reduce operational losses, workplace health issues, accidents, and injuries. They will also secure ISO certifications for the business unit and support other units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

HSEQ Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and implement HSEQ policies and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ regulations and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Promote a culture of safety, environmental, and quality excellence.

Management System Implementation and Maintenance

  • Implement, maintain, and audit ISO management systems.
  • Update HSEQ manuals and procedures.
  • Oversee certification processes.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with UK legislation.
  • Advise on legal and regulatory changes.

Training and Development

  • Develop and deliver HSEQ training programs.
  • Raise awareness of ISO standards and procedures.

Incident Management and Reporting

  • Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions.
  • Present HSEQ performance reports to senior management.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement HSEQ system improvements.
  • Collaborate on efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary HSEQ contact.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers.

Outcome, Results, and Key Performance Indicators

  • Accurate reporting and investigation of accidents.
  • Sub-contractor and company compliance.
  • Accurate data and reporting.
  • Compliance with relevant legislation.

Health & Safety & ISO Requirements

  • Prevent injury and observe safety rules.
  • Use safety equipment and PPE correctly.
  • Report accidents, incidents, and hazards.
  • Adhere to company policies and ISO standards.
  • Ensure accurate work documentation.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of HSEQ regulations
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards

Experience

  • 5+ years in HSEQ management, preferably in plant, ground support equipment or construction
  • Experience with ISO processes and implementation
  • Proven track record in high-risk, regulated industries

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH/IOSH certifications (essential)
  • Bachelor’s degree in health & safety (desirable)
