An exciting new role is available for a Carnet Administrator. Our client who are one of the fastest growing specialist international logistics providers to the events, sport and entertainment industries. No previous industry experience is required as full training will be provided. Operating 24/7 to provide reliable, on-time freight support, moving equipment from venue to venue, globally via air, sea, road, rail, and charters, we have our own warehousing and offices at London Heathrow, New York, and Los Angeles Airports.

Employment Terms for the Carnet Administrator

  • 09:00 - 17:30 - Full Time Office Based
  • Overtime is paid for any pre-approved work done out of core business hours
  • Location - UK (Heathrow Airport Headquarters)

Reporting to - HR Manager

Job Overview for the Carnet Administrator

Due to internal expansion, we are looking for someone to join our hard working carnet team. Our carnet team are responsible for managing and overseeing the issuing, processing, and tracking of ATA Carnets, which are international customs documents used for the temporary importation of goods. In addition to the primary carnet duties there are addition tasks to perform as part of the role such as, meeting and greeting clients, helping organise company socials and ordering the weekly shopping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and completion of carnet applications, this will include logging, returning, tracking claims and posting carnets to customers.
  • Provide guidance to clients and colleagues on carnet regulations and requirements.
  • Follow our existing processes on maintaining accurate records by keeping our carnet logs up to date.
  • Print and build carnets.
  • Jointly monitor the carnet inbox.
  • Liaise with the chambers to resolve any issues
  • Answer the office phones, handle carnet related questions or transfer calls to other teams. Answer the door buzzer and meet and greet clients, offering them drinks and informing colleagues of their arrival.
  • Help keep track of stationery supplies and carnet stationery, placing orders when required. Being part of a rota with operations to complete office filing
  • Order weekly shopping
  • Help organise company socials and events
