Warehouse Supervisor

Freightserve are looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor. The role is working for a fast growing Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.

Job Scope

Oversee daily operations and warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity.warehouse supervisor's responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.

Main Responsibility:

• Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
• Monitoring employee productivity on a day-to-day basis.
• Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
• Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
• Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
• Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
• Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
• Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment.
• Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Full knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.
• Good Knowledge in WMS system
• Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position
• Ability to be a self-starter and work on own initiative.
• Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and develop strong working relationships.
• Good analytical and excellent organizational skills
• Develop & coach team members and assist with new employee onboarding.
• Participate in new business implementation meetings as a subject matter expert and/or ensure SOPs are updated when needed.
• Promote a positive working relationship for all team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Work effectively in a team environment and collaborate cross-functionally, building relationships with account management by proposing process improvement and/or consultative leads.
• Streamline in-house processes.
