• A HLTA plays a key role in supporting teachers by helping deliver lessons, providing tailored support to individual students or small groups, and assisting with classroom management and student engagement.
• They take on the responsibility of planning and leading specific learning activities or interventions, working independently to improve student learning outcomes.
• An HLTA contributes to the assessment process by observing students, recording progress, and providing feedback to teachers, helping to refine instructional strategies to better meet students' needs.
• They work closely with students who have special educational needs or disabilities, adapting learning materials and methods to ensure all students can access the curriculum effectively.
• In addition to their instructional duties, an HLTA will handle administrative tasks such as preparing resources, organizing materials, and assisting with school events, ensuring smooth operations within the school.
