I am recruiting a Sales Manager for my aviation client, this can be based either at their office near Heathrow or Paris

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective sales strategies to drive business growth and maintain the company's competitive position in the market. This role will involve forecasting sales trends, identifying new business opportunities through proactive outreach and cold calling, and cultivating strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
As the Sales Manager you will develop and sustain positive relationships with key staff, to place the business in the best position to achieve account objectives and to secure additional business.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for realising the committed revenue targets set by the organization through promoting the company's products to customers.
- Identify and develop sales opportunities for company's complete range of products and services
- Build customer relationships with key players and working levels in the customers' organization
- Grow and expand company's market share in the regions covered
- Provide pre- and post - sales support.
- Follow up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.
- Submit timely activity/call reports concerning customer related activities for quotes and orders
- Provide territory sales forecast on a quarterly basis
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales
- Frequent travel in the region covered is expected.
- Expected annual travel back to Regional or Corporate headquarters (Chicago) and relevant business division for sales meeting and training.
- Report any issues to the Manager in a timely manner
- Understand and contribute to ensuring departmental and company targets are met
- Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and Quality responsibilities
- Adhere to all company procedures and processes
- Ensure the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition
- As business needs dictate, the post holder may be required to undertake additional duties of a level commensurate with their existing responsibility.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Educated to degree level; or equivalent experience in a fast-paced commercial Sales environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive and proven sales experience within the aviation industry
- Proficiency ranging from conversational to advanced in Russian and/or a related Eastern European language(s).
- Ability to effectively exchange information, ideas, or thoughts with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders using an appropriate method.
- Ability to assess complex situations, interpret data, and making informed decisions to solve problems and improve efficiencies.
- Ability to reach mutually beneficial agreements through discussion, effective persuasion, and compromise.
- Ability to understand and navigate operations, market dynamics, and financial principles to make strategic decisions for success.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft software with an advanced level of Excel
- An organised self-motivator
- Confident ability to present data and other information to internal and external senior management
- Clear communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Ability to travel internationally
Additional information:
- Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 DOE
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
