This is a Full Time Contract Role for 12-14 months

As a successful candidate you will be working in the Accountancy Solutions business unit delivering software for UK Accountancy practices at IRIS Software Group.

You will be working with cross-functional Agile Scrum teams to deliver feature enhancements and maintenance releases to our Practice Suite Accountancy product. A key aspect of the role will be coaching the team to facilitate Agile ways of working, optimize delivery and foster a generative culture

Responsibilities :

  • Coach the team to optimise Agile delivery practices
  • Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives and demos
  • Collaborate closely with the Product owner to ensure the team always has a well prepared and priortised backlog for upcoming sprints
  • Help create a culture based on high cooperation, transparency, sharing risks and encouraging growth
  • Foster cross-team coordination
  • Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions
  • Help define clear goals for the team

Experience :

  • 3+ years’ experience in Agile delivery
  • acting as servant/leader, coaching and empowering Scrum teams
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum ceremonies and practices
  • Good understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Track record of successful software delivery

Owning the process of delivering software:

  • coach ways of working that foster a secure, quality assured, iterative delivery
  • focus on collaboration and quality
  • optimise for flow of delivery

Facilitation and leadership in events that support collaboration:

  • Backlog refinement
  • Scrum of scrums
  • Coordinate interdependencies with other teams
