We are seeking a Service Coordinator to join our team and help people in crisis in the UK and abroad. This role is crucial in supporting vulnerable individuals to prepare for, withstand, and recover from emergencies. The ideal candidate will coordinate referrals, manage volunteers and service assistants, and ensure the service is efficient and reliable.

Day to day of the role:
  • Coordinate referrals from hospitals and other sources.
  • Support and manage volunteers and service assistants.
  • Liaise with hospital and community staff to promote the service and handle patient referrals.
  • Assess service users’ needs and ensure they are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve service delivery.
  • Record and monitor service outcomes and user impact.
  • Recruit, train, and engage volunteers.
  • Manage the service budget and follow financial procedures.
  • Ensure team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Participate in team meetings and support colleagues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and IT skills.
  • Experience in managing people and improving service quality.
  • Knowledge of NHS and social care services is desirable.
  • Willingness to undertake regular evening work and on-call duties.
