An opportunity to join a fantastic team of people in Brighton & Hove is available for an experienced Sales and Business Development specialist. You’ll bring your background in sales and your existing knowledge and experience in the Telecoms (telco, telecommunications, ISP) sector to help win new business and grow the company’s client base. Any specific VoIP and connectivity knowledge is a distinct advantage.

This is a new business role in the telco market focusing on business development and new sales but there is lots of future progression with the position.

As the Business Development Manager you will:

  • Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies working alongside the Directors to identify revenue growth opportunities, including market expansion and new business avenues
  • Generate and manage your own leads and sales pipeline
  • Conduct client requirement analysis, lead qualification, and design tailored solutions
  • Execute strategic sales initiatives to exceed set sales targets
  • Attend networking and marketing events to generate leads and book meetings with decision-makers
  • Present product demonstrations, negotiate contracts, and close deals
  • Handle high-level negotiations and close significant deals
  • Attend customer sites for sales meetings
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Lead service reviews for direct and non-direct key clients
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key customers and wholesale partners
  • Address escalated account management and customer concerns promptly

Skills & experience required:

  • Experience in B2B Business Development is essential
  • Experience or strong knowledge of Telecom / ISP sector including VoIP and connectivity is required
  • Ability to account manage existing clients and provide and discuss technical solutions to your client base
  • Ideally hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport
