Pay rate: 23.66 - 29.53, depending on experience, PAYE/Umbrella.

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days
Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation require a Supply Chain Specialist to join their team based at Gloucester Business Park
Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:
* Ideally, a minimum of 3 years' experience working within a procurement and/or similar environment
* Possess a high standard of Procurement competence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge, contracting skills and supplier management. Good negotiation skills that drive positive business outcomes and ability to influence at all levels.
* Good project management skills, product awareness, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk and opportunity management
* Demonstrate exemplary business acumen.
* Works on own initiative with minimal supervision and with responsibility for delivery, escalating concerns.
* Ability to utilise the collective experience and knowledge within the team to deliver effective solutions.
* Ability to build, grow and influence networks, outside of own team, to support collaboratively working.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Utilising all available information to prioritise workload and communicate this effectively to stakeholders when required.
* Very good interpersonal skills that support collaborative stakeholder relationships.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Likely to possess CIPS L4/5 qualification, working towards or equivalent standard.

Procurement Management:
* Develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
* Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
* Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
* Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
* Ensure supply chain risks are understood, managed and communicate.
Process Improvement:
* Identify opportunities for process improvement within procurement and administrative functions.
* Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Streamline workflows to optimise resource utilisation.
Compliance:
* Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
