Bookkeeper

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my prestigious client, based inHucknall, Nottingham,for an experiencedBookkeeperto join on a full-time, permanent basis.

Joining this established company, the successful applicant will need to be an experienced Bookkeeper who is a proficient user of Xero.

In this supportive environment, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and helping keep the finance department in order.

About the role:

  • Managing the Sales and Purchase Ledger
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero
  • Process Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly
  • Prepare financial reports for management review
  • Supporting company accountant with preparing the quarterly and end of year accounts
  • Quarterly VAT Return
  • Payroll
  • Ad-hoc Accounts Administration tasks

Hours and Pay:

  • Monday to Friday - 9am till 5pm
  • Salary up to 34,000 - dependent on experience
  • Permanent

About you:

  • Proven Bookkeeping experience is essential
  • Xero accounting software experience is also essential
  • Competent daily user of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
