This business is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Huddersfield. Description
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Analysing financial data and assisting in month end process.
- Coordinating with the internal audit team to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Working with the accounting team to streamline accounting functions and operations.
- Providing insightful information and expectations to company managers to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
- Reviewing financial data periodically to ensure fairness and completeness of the data.
- Engaging in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant is necessary (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Experience in industrial / manufacturing is ideal but not essential
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and ideally SAP (but not essential)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness
