We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic manufacturing business based in Huddersfield. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to start their career in accounting or an experienced professional seeking a stable and fulfilling role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchase ledger and ensure all invoices are processed accurately and timely.
  • Oversee the sales ledger, including raising invoices and monitoring accounts receivable.
  • Handle credit control activities, ensuring prompt payment from clients and managing any overdue accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc accounting tasks and administrative duties.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve any invoice or payment queries.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
