Position Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm)
Salary: Up to £32,000

Xander Catering Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen Manager to lead our catering team in Huddersfield. This position offers an excellent opportunity to manage a dynamic culinary operation, providing meals to the dedicated staff working on the Transpennine Route Upgrade.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Station Management: Work across various sections of the kitchen (e.g., sauces, grill, Ovens) and ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality.
Menu Development: Develop and create ideas for menu enhancements and improvements.
Quality Control: Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas. Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Team Support: Work closely with kitchen team members to coordinate food production and service.
Stock Management: Assist in stock rotation, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed.
Customer Service: This is a customer facing role and requires a friendly, positive attitude. A good knowledge of the products we sell will be essential and full training will be provided

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for food and cooking.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
