Job Title: Trade Compliance Analyst (6-Month Contract)Location: Remote with occasional onsite visits (Daventry, Darlington, or Huddersfield)Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekPay: Up to £15.39 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a Trade Compliance Analyst to join our client's Customs and Trade Compliance team. This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension, and offers a flexible working arrangement, with candidates expected to visit one of the client’s sites approximately every 2-3 weeks for team projects.
Role Overview:
As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you’ll support the business in navigating complex trade and export control regulations. Your role will include researching trade laws, ensuring compliance with customs/export controls, and assisting in the execution of team processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and monitor trade laws, regulations, and procedures related to import/export activities.
- Analyse data using Excel (VLOOKUP, filters, etc.), identifying trends and ensuring compliance.
- Prepare and submit documentation for import/export licenses.
- Maintain relationships with brokers and governmental organisations to support compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and maintain internal compliance databases.
- Ensure adherence to export control regulations and perform audits as required.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Strong communication skills: You’ll need to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external contacts.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel: VLOOKUP, filters, and basic data analysis.
- Proactive mindset: Must be able to take initiative and seek assistance when needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or transport is a plus.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- No trade or brokerage experience is required, but a basic understanding of import/export processes would be beneficial.

Education & Experience:
- College or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
