Compliance Analyst

6 month contract

£15.39 per hour - PAYE

Huddersfield - Remote role with twice per month on-site

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join a global engineering business in Huddersfield.

You will be joining the Customs and Trade Compliance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, focusing on ensuring compliance with global trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and execute processes to ensure compliance with Customs and Export Controls regulations.
  • Analyze data using Excel (VLOOKUP, filters, etc.) and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Collaborate with team members and take the initiative to seek assistance when necessary.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of compliance processes and support the development of best practices.

Experience required:

  • While no prior trade or brokerage experience is required, experience in shipping, logistics, or transport is highly advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is essential. Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Systems: Familiarity with organisational systems and business processes is beneficial but not mandatory.
