We are seeking a passionate PLMD Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive school community in Huddersfield. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Our school is renowned for its personalised, aspirational, and specialist curriculum designed to meet the unique needs of each pupil.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities in their learning and development.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored educational programmes.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Encourage and support pupils in developing their sensory and communication skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a similar role or a transferable role.
  • Confidence and a proactive approach to supporting children with special needs.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • A commitment to going above and beyond to support pupils’ learning and development.
