SEMH Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Huddersfield

NextGen Teachers are currently working with a Primary School located in Huddersfield who are seeking to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to support there pupils with SEMH needs starting from ASAP for temporary to permanent contract.

The role is to support pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs. We're looking for a candidate with previous experience in a similar role or someone who is keen to support pupils with SEMH.

The role of an SEMH Support Assistant in this school will be to:

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis.
  • Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention.
  • Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans.
  • Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students.
