Job RoleA Huddersfield based Engineering company who have invented, designed and patented an extremely successful solution, has an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer (Electrical bias) to join their team. The role will involve:

  • You will be working on a range of specialist equipment designed, built and maintained in house.
  • The right candidate will be dealing with builds, repairs, breakdowns, fault finding and site support.
  • In an effort to eliminate repetitive faults, the company invests time in developing its equipment and therefore the position will involve the successful candidate voicing ideas for design changes and development.
  • On occasion (currently around once every 2 months but this will vary) it will be necessary to attend site to perform fault diagnosis and repair which can be UK or overseas.

Requirements

  • Driving license and passport.
  • Good problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting and repairs
  • Relevant electrical experience (automotive or site/appliance)
  • Ability to perform electrical modifications and upgrades to existing equipment
  • Familiarity with motors, relays, switches, connectors, crimping and soldering
  • Able to understand and work from electrical wiring diagrams

Any experience in the following areas would be an advantage (but not essential):

  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Experience of 12V & 24V systems
  • Awareness of PLCs and HMIs
  • PAT Testing
  • Able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
