The Company: A prominent financial planning and investment advice company based in Huddersfieldwho are looking to bring in an industry experienced Paraplanner as they look to further flesh out their back-office support team. The company offers a diverse range of financial services, including asset management & wealth management and holds a strong financial position with excellent operating profits recorded across the last financial year. The foundation is there to pursue their growth plans; and they are now keen to attract a highly ambitious, career driven and technically astute Paraplanner.

  • Office Location: Huddersfield
  • Hybrid/Home Working: Yes - 3-days office/2-days WFH
  • Working Hours: Standard Mon-Fri (9am-5pm)

Salary/Package: £35-40k base DOE + annual bonus & excellent company benefits

The Role: You will analyse client’s needs and objectives, developing financial planning strategies as agreed with the Financial Planner. And ultimately you will be responsible for compiling the research and suitability in private wealth focused areas across investments and pensions, drafting a client-centric financial planning report to summarise the advice. Further duties include:

  • To conduct quality analysis and product research to arrive the most suitable outcome for the client
  • Undertaking whole of market research on new and existing clients using FE Analytics, SelectaPension, Cashflow modelling and our in-house research tools.
  • To advise on quality outcomes, providing clear professional communication to advisers
  • To operate collaboratively with colleagues to improve overall quality outcomes and provide consistent compliant files.
  • Build a rapport with the advisers within the firm and other Compliance Departments
  • Contribute into the design and implementation of quality standards
  • Working at pace to achieve individual productivity targets and objectives.

The Person: You must be QCF level 4 Diploma qualified and have a demonstrable track record of managing paraplanning workloads on behalf of financial advisers and wealth managers. You will:

  • Hold previous Paraplanning, and/or Advice experience
  • Have detailed experience and knowledge of assessing suitability of advice outcomes
  • Holds exposure to high-net-worth Pension and Investment caseloads
