Cogent Staffing are recruiting for an experienced Technical Sales Specialist to join our client, a timber & materials supplier based in Central Huddersfield.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and dynamic team with clear progression opportunities and a bonus scheme in place.
Shifts & salary:
- Full time permanent position
- Monday - Friday
- 7.30am - 5pm
- 40,000 - 45,000 salary DOE,musthave 2+ years technical sales & timber design experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Working as part of a busy team taking incoming calls and queries.
- Generate floor plans from customer specifications.
- Working alongside designer to generate roof truss plans from customer specifications.
- Completing quotes for customers.
- Building and managing own sales ledger of accounts.
- Assisting external sales team where needed.
- Business development with cold and prospective clients.
- Opportunity to progress to the external sales team.
Key requirements:
- Must have 2+ years evidenced experience in a technical sales position.
- Musthave comprehensive knowledge of timber and sheet materials.
- Ideally has I-joist and further joist/truss experience.
- Self motivated to drive new business.
- Flexible and reactive.
