Trainee Project Co-ordinator

Contracts Department

  • £26,000.00 + depending on experience / qualifications
  • Flexible Start & Finish - 35 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday

+ 5% pension contribution when employee contributes minimum 2.5%.

+ Prorated 34 days holidays. 26 floating days. January to December.

We are currently working alongside a privately owned and established multimillion-pound engineering firm, who are now keen to appoint a Trainee Engineering Project Co-Ordinator within their Contracts Department.

This role will suit an ambitious and driven individual who is looking for a promising future and career. You must be intelligent, with the ability to learn quickly and extremely customer focused.

Company specific training will be given through a detailed development plan, which will include spending time in all departments, including:

** Contracts

** Drawing Office

** Electrical

** Production

** Site

ESSENTIAL TO APPLY

  • Ideally, formal engineering training or an interest in engineering.
  • And/or a Manufacturing / Production background.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to effectively plan and organise your workload.
  • Flexible, supportive, and motivated attitude, to enable you to play a significant role in a proactive and delivery focused organisation.
  • Initiative to resolve issues in an appropriate manner.
  • Attention to details and self-assurance of quality of work performed.
  • Able to work well with other team members and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and organise work to meet multiple demands, schedules and timelines.
  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Keen to continue education/experience in an Engineering/ project management role.

THE ROLE

  • Initially a training role within the Contract Department.
  • To progress to independent management of full projects.
  • Support the team in the contract department, with a team responsibility for the successfully delivery of Capital Expenditure projects predominately within the waste water treatment industry.
  • Projects can range from small single units, approx. £20K in value, to complex systems up to £1M.
  • The contract team follow the projects from sales order to completion.
  • Some site visits - Working along side the Site Manager, meeting clients, site inspections to measuring.

AS A TRAINEE, YOU WILL BE

  • Working on a variety of projects for multiple clients.
  • Liaising with different departments, design, production, site & electrical
  • Learning product management and its role in delivering products and services
  • Helping to ensure project financial success
  • Visiting sites to assist the design team and installation personnel.
  • Engaging in a detailed product knowledge programme.
  • Completing the administration process for each project.
