Certain Advantage are working in partnership with a prestigious manufacturing organisation operating within the automotive sector who are looking to hire a Senior Industrial Engineer.

Summary:
You will spend time on the shop floor observing current processes, identifying areas of waste, and improving equipment and workflows to reduce inefficiencies.


Your responsibilities:
* Lead work studies and standard work methods for both new and existing production lines.
* Oversee projects to design and implement manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business objectives, and product specifications.
* Apply manufacturing principles and practices to enhance equipment and process efficiency.
* Ensure the application of standards while developing new manufacturing standards.
* Communicate with and influence key external stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional team members.
* Collaborate with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
* Demonstrate advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles.
* Build and maintain relationships, coaching key stakeholders as needed.

And a few things you should know:
* Apply ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls, and tools to minimise ergonomic risks for employees in the workplace.
* Analyse individual and machine work activities to optimise operating time, balance work distribution, and adapt to changes in customer demand while improving manufacturing processes.
* Design operator workstations that are safe, ergonomic, and conducive to productivity, while considering cost, quality, and delivery to ensure an efficient work environment.
* Create detailed manufacturing procedures in the correct sequence to ensure all stakeholders follow standardised processes for continuity and consistency.
* Design or modify manufacturing processes by considering equipment, human interactions, production steps, and facility requirements to reduce waste and process time.

During an interview, we might ask you about:
* Your knowledge/ experience of time study
* Are you confident with using synthetic data for standard times (MOST, MTM, or similar)
* Have ever worked with Excel / AutoCAD
