An interim Continuous Improvement Engineer is required for an industrial/manufacturing business in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising operations, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.

Description
As the Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods.
- Recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
- Coordinating manufacturing launch for new or revised production techniques.
- Performing research, design and development of manufacturing processes and new technologies.
- Analysing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
- Collaborating with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods.
Profile
The successful Continuous Improvement Engineer will have:
- Worked in a similar position previously within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Proficiency in manufacturing systems and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (line balancing, SMED, time studies).
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Job Offer
- Minimum 6 month contract paying c£25ph
