Description
- Ensure on-time and complete delivery schedules.
- Utilise planning software to dispatch and control work efficiently.
- Review plans for errors and ensure they are accurate before coordinating drivers.
- Monitor and manage driver schedules.
- Communicate with customers regarding delays or changes to their deliveries.
- Resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining efficiency.
- Improve service and efficiency in alignment with internal and external KPIs.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints and delivery queries.
Profile
A successful Transport Controller should have:
- The ability to work various shift patterns (mornings, nights, weekends)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Ofiice, Excel and Outlook
