Payroll Assistant
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: 25,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the full payroll process for approximately 2,000 employees, handling both weekly and monthly pay cycles across multiple payroll schemes and entities.
- Maintain and update employee data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Handle payroll-related queries, focusing on prompt resolution and clear communication.
- Process payroll changes, including salary adjustments, pay awards, overpayments, expenses, and allowances, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance payroll systems and workflows, improving overall efficiency.
- Support with generating payroll management reports and ensuring smooth payroll operations.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 17:30 (37.5 hours/week), with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in payroll systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Able to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
- Discretion and respect for confidentiality when handling sensitive information
