Payroll AssistantLocation: HuddersfieldSalary: £25,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the full payroll process for approximately 2,000 employees, handling both weekly and monthly pay cycles across multiple payroll schemes and entities.
  • Maintain and update employee data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle payroll-related queries, focusing on prompt resolution and clear communication.
  • Process payroll changes, including salary adjustments, pay awards, overpayments, expenses, and allowances, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance payroll systems and workflows, improving overall efficiency.
  • Support with generating payroll management reports and ensuring smooth payroll operations.

Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 17:30 (37.5 hours/week), with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proficient in payroll systems, Excel, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
