Senior Quantity Surveyor:

We are currently recruiting for x3 Senior Quantity Surveyors for a rail project for a large tier 1 contractor based out of Huddersfield.

Responsibilities:

 Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordancewith Company policy. Fully understand and participate in the "Your Safety isMy Safety" declared vision  Understand and ensure compliance with Company Procedures and Policies. Maintain effective communications with all disciplines within the Alliance andthe BAM business Assist in staff matters which may include: behavioural issues, competency,and staff allocation to meet a project's needs Manage, supervise and mentor your "reports" within the commercial structure.Carrying out staff performance and development reviews and assist in theoperation of the commercial training programme Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contractmeetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents Commercial management of subcontractors including processing payments,obtaining final account agreements, and resolving issues by negotiation, whenappropriate Monitor the timely production of cost performance data and initiatediscussions concerning project performance Produce and present monthly / quarterly cost reports Be responsible for identification and evaluation of change Be responsible for the timely production of appropriate levels of applicationsfor payments in accordance with the provisions of the conditions of contract Attend and provide input to site commercial meetings. Providing commercialadvice to the site team, and management on contractual issues Provide input and support for the production of financial assessments ofinsurance claims Manage time and workloads for yourself and your commercial team in astructured manner.

What we need:

  • Experience with NEC contracts
  • Experience with large civil engineering structures
  • Member of RICS/ CICES
  • Experience working on Alliance or a JV
  • Past experience in rail
